It was out in theaters in July, but for some reason, only in TGV, Sunway Pyramid and KLCC or something like that, so I don't think I'll be watching it on screen. But the DVD's out on December 22.

To Lumut, for Jenn!! [part 1]

Jenn had to extend her stay at lumut, so i decided to go surprise her there and fetch her back safely after that xp i told her i'll be going there with my parents, but invited the whole hmc family and a few other important friends to come along :D

after about a week of uncertainty whether it'll work or not and asking parents and booking hotels, only 4 of us had confirmed to go: nick, david, dudu and i, dudu having confirmed the day before departure.

so yea, dudu and i completed the timetabling (with jenn on the phone xD) by 3.20pm on friday, and waited for david for 20 mins, went to fill petrol (RM85 zomg) and picked nick up from the bangsar lrt station. thus the 3 hr journey began :D

Went for bon odori on saturday with jenn, jason n christine.. the rest couldn't make it due to several reasons which i will not spend my time mentioning.

I had so much trouble with the soba lol. Kept dropping it on the floor =_= hehe so Jenn fed me and gave me half of a container as a plate lol. didn't wanna look too stupid so i held up some. LOL.

Finally got my mom's permission to drive my brother's myvi to college alone!!

Here's the thing..

k, so i drove to college. then i decided to save 3 bucks and tried to park in a housing area nearby, but it was packed. went into this road and the next. since it was so full i decided to go back to college to park instead.

then yea, i was gonna turn out right. the cars were parked all along the road, so i inched out. i saw that there were no cars to my right or left, so i went further into the road, then all of a sudden there was this van coming at me fast from the left. i freaked a bit and didn't know whether to go faster or to stop @_@

luckily he stopped.. then i was like okay good, gotta go quick!! *gas* BAM!!

ZOMG!!! *A*

I HIT THE VAN WTF!!

but wait, it's a different van.. THIS ONE'S FREAKIN PARKED IN FRONT OF THE JUNCTION=_=

so yea, i actually went right at a stationary van =_= it was stationarily moving so fast, i didn't see it coming =_=

i was like OH SHIT OH SHIT OH SHIT SHIT SHIT HOLY CRAP HOLY CRAP AAAAAAAAAAA

and i drove off.

looked back without seeing anything but those red words above. =_=

driving towards the car park, i listened for noise coming from the car.

it looked bad. =_= obviously =_= so i fiddled here n there.. the bumper was dented bad. but i just popped it back out. offered a BIT of relief.. tot i could fit it back to the side panel thingy, but all the screws or whatever that was holding them together had popped out =_= and the highlight was GONE =_= the headlight was pointing down at an angle =_=

i didn't know how to pop the hood. lol. yea. i tried, but i didn't know there's that lever thingy under the hood. so i tot it was so damaged i couldn't open it =_=

went into college, to where jenn and everyone usually are. told them about it.. Aris said i could get it done in a day if i want to, depending on the damage.. he knows a mechanic nearby. so i was like 0_0 okayyyyy...

i let him drive there cuz i was still shaken =_= then i went in thru the left. *yank*

couldn't open the door either =_= so i went in thru the back.

so yea, went to the mech dude and asked for an analysis. while waiting for the stock price of the lights, Aris was ever more kinder to buy me drink "to chill." i bought the cheapest thing i first saw lol.

the verdict..

to replace both lights, the bumper and side panel thingy, it would cost 600+ =_= and this is talking about fake lights, worth almost 100 less than original =_= so of course i didn't do anything =_=

so.. the whole day i was kinda worried ("kinda" my ass.) about ~~what my parents'll say~~ how they'll kill me. and more or less totally freaked by the thing.

i mean, i hit a van.

A FREAKIN STATIONARY VAN, PARKED RITE THERE WITH NO ONE INSIDE =_=

fetched jenn home. [thanks for calming me down x) and wheeeee fetched you home officially xD]

got home, called my mom. told her about it. she sounded like.. you know when someone's angry and holds it inside? the kind that TOTALLY FREAKS YOU OUT CUZ YOU THINK SHE'S TOTALLY PISSED??!! and she said she's coming back right away =_=

then my dad came home, and i had to reverse into where the myvi's usually parked. cuz i was kinda parking in his space. went into the house to get the keys, kinda tried to go slow. actually i think i went kinda fast =_= panicky =_= i wanted to wait for him to park and walk into the house, THEN reverse. but i went in the car, started the engine, looked back.

my dad walked out of his car and just stood there watching =_=

sooooooooo i reversed. my view alternating between the back of the car and my dad's face.

he looked at the front =_= walked over more to the left, in front of the wrecked part =_=

so i was like. DIE.

got down all freaked out. closed the car, locked the door. me dad

"a stationary, parked van! i'm fine on the road!" tried to kinda sorta what sounded bewildered.

"well, that means you're still quite green on the road!"

neways. long story short. went in for dinner, my dad started talking about other stuff.. positive stuff =_= mom came back, looked PISSED. (my mom's sorta the silently pissed type.) brought it up. i explained everything. IS THIS THE PART WHERE I DIE?? *A*

they ate dinner.

oooookay.

showed my dad the extent of the damage. he said the light might be able to be fixed (the most expensive part damaged, cheaper if fixed rather than replaced), and the bumpers n stuff could be replaced.

as for the highlight, fortunately or not, we had one lying somewhere in the house.. just 1 or 2 months ago, someone driving a myvi crashed thru our gate and hit the volvo, losing a lot of the front. lol.

so yea, my parent's either weren't pissed in the end, or didn't show anything @_@ they want me to take it as an experience.. and are even letting me drive tomorrow @_@ zomg @_@

is the sky turning green, or is it just me? @_@

Genre: romantic comedy

My say:

Best movie I'd seen in a long time. Of course it helps that i watched it with jenn x)

i've been told that the book's much better than the movie, but i think the movie's really good already. the book would probably blow me away if i read it xp the soundtrack's really good too :)

if you love dogs or at least think they're worth looking at, you'll love this movie :) and i won't spoil the ending for you ;D

all in all, it's a light hearted movie revolving a dog and his owners' lives, getting very intensely dramatic towards the end. i love it :)

My say:

I just watched this on HBO (yeah i know i'm late) and what i absolutely like about this is the soundtrack :) it's amazing and incredible :) pair up a sweet romantic comedy with that soundtrack, and you get a really good movie x)

haha i won't go into details lest i destroy what the writers intended of the movie xp

just so you get the gist of it: it's about a guy who gets into 3 relationships, going in and out of each one until his entire love life revolves around all three of them. of course he sorta settles with one of them in the end.

Wow. the last thing i'd expect to be caught up in if i attended the execution of a serial killer is a massive orgy XD

well the movie's VERY dramatic, VERY elegant.

haha yes, horrifying and elegant at the same time xD you'd get horrified by the things the guy does, but you just can't stop watching cuz it's so gripping. the whole thing's like an orchestrated song in itself, having the verses, the chorus, the bridge and the ending +D even the perfume part of it is supposed to be like a song. lol.

Other movies i recommend but won't comment on cuz i'm lazy and there're just too many: (some of them don't have posters cuz their posters are just too ugly for me. +D)(and if there are any incredibly good movies that aren't here, its cuz i haven't watched it, or it didn't come to mind.)

I think it's better than the 6600 slide (which looked way cooler in real life.. shinier) cuz of the carl zeiss optics. haha. and it's actually cheaper! well i suppose that's cuz it's old, but yeah..

the keypad isn't as much of a suck up as i thought it'd be.. in fact it presses almost the same as my old 1110 lol. it's easy to press, but it's also easy to press the wrong button. but i'll learn to work over that. haha.

I left Jalan Gasing at 7 on the 15th with my class (not many from my class tho. mostly from P classes).. many of those P class dudes were smoking practically every time we weren't in air-cond areas, and I don't really mix with them.. the SF1 peeps were good, but I prefer quality in quantity (i know the term is quality over quantity, but in this case it's both, get it?).. so when we got to Coral Bay Resort I went straight to one of the S6 rooms.

I was supposed to go back with my class, but then on the 2nd nite i asked Boon Wei if there was space in the S5 bus and if it was okay if i joined them.. he said sure sure, so yeah, i stayed for one more day X) sigh. that fateful day.

We did all sorts of things.. visited places, went snorkelling, played monkey in the pool (lol yea it was fun until the pro players started fooling around..), walked on the beach, wished 2 people happy birthday (namely ying yi and zhen yoong.. and all the december babies actually =p)cycled around the whole island, went on a sunset cruise (didn't see the sunset though, the clouds covered it.. the cruise was awesome anyway =D)
and most of all, we CAMWHORED!! XDXD most people had cameras (i don't), and each person took 3-400 pics those 4 days on average, so let's say at least 30 people had cameras and camwhored.. so 30 times 300 is 9000 pics!!! ahhahaa that's insane, almost 10 000 XD not many pics are up yet, so i'll get them first and post them when i do =p

Potluck pool party at Shin Yueh's was cool =p the food was good (lol yea, wei ren's potato salad with bacon thingy wasn't half bad actually. i liked the bacon xp jiacheng's self-cooked spaghetti was really good.. i liked the sauce! didn't eat much of shin's ..beehoon, but yea it was good.).. the pool was fun. Haha.
Some of the guys didn't bring extra clothes, so they didn't go in the pool.. namely brianc, nyit yang n kj. they just sat around a table talking -_- and jia yi said she doesn't know how to swim so she just sat beside the pool. though she did get pushed in quite a few times =p Kar Wai was there too.. felt kinda random to me, though i know they're friends. Wei hong ffked lol.
I hadn't been swimming for some time, so it felt good getting back into the water.
It'd've been even better if victor didn't push me in with my shirt on lol. went home soaking wet.
Jess brought this float.. u know those you lie on in the pool? Yea. Brian Loh was playing with it a lot.. at one point he looked like he was humping it lol.

wei ren brought speedos lol.

O yea, n shin's house is really nice. and huge. (tell her i said that XD) I didn't get to see much more than the living room though. (why do so many of my friends have houses like that? @_@ Gated communities, huge bungalows, beautiful decor..)

No pool pics as far as i know, jiacheng was in the pool.

I dunno why, but i think some of you noticed.. i don't really blog much about stuff anymore. Could just be me being lazy, but I think somehow I don't feel comfortable blogging too much about stuff. Maybe I feel that it'll be too long winded.. i tend to do that when i blog in detail, so yea -.- and i get this idea that you guys won't be too interested in what i do. but then again, i suppose it's better to have people come and get bored on my blog rather than coming and leaving really fast =p so... i'm gonna try to blog a bit more. Barbeque party at Ming Li's house was awesome lol. It was the first time I saw anyone get a hangover 'live'.. and THREE at about the same time, too @_@ I was worried I'd get one too, since I drank some of what they did as well.. but no, cause I only drank like.. one fifth of a cup of it mixed with Kickapoo. Lol. But I did drink about one half cup of red wine. Cup as in.. party styrofoam cup.
It was an S7 party, so I suppose I should've expected to feel left out.. I don't think I did lol. It was great.

About phones..

May suggested the Nokia 7100 Supernova slider, red. But I couldn't find any pics of it in red that I could rip (lol) so here's the one in blue..

It only has a 1.3 megapixel camera, so I got kinda 'turned off'..
Since it's so new, I couldn't find any reviews of it.. So I can't say more about it.

Apparently it's made to be resistant to splashes and dirt, so it's all held firmly together and nothing's loose. That's an extra I don't really need, and it's what makes the phone a bit bulky. Furthermore,

..there's this lock thing on the back -_- It's ugly, and they say it's hard to turn. I suppose that means it's annoying when you're trying to take out the battery or change sims.

The buttons look weirdly water resistant, but the press is very soft, if you know what I mean. Sometimes you might not know if you've pressed a button.

Okay, so after googling some phones and pictures, 3.2 megapixels appears to be very very big. I had no idea, really. 1.3's good enough unless you're trying to be a super spy who wants every single pixel to be picture perfect.

Here's a picture taken with this camera phone, scaled to fit my blog.. (again, it's a little out of proportion)

The music is good. Lol I dunno what else to say about this.

It's RELATIVELY cheap at RM 1010 - 1040 and RM 710 - 725 'unofficially' (dunno what that means.. it's on mobile88.com).

Just a bit of an update..

Class T-shirt thing's over long ago.. the organiser dude didn't really think my design was anything close to mind-blowing (of course it's not) so he didn't bother showing it to the class. Even Neal said he didn't like the dragon long ago -_- Oh well, Sue's design's really nice =) Still, to everyone who supported me.. thanks a lot X) I'm gonna keep the thing, just for the memory..

After that I only had half an hour to finish the directed writing. I wrote 2 pages of crap in just half an hour -_- That means if I just.. did something, I could've written at least 5 pages in the time I took to write 2.5.

There and back again later in the evening.. snagged on a fisherman's string on the way there lol. Oh yeah, and the place looks 10 times worse than that =_= The sand's hardly white, the water's hardly blue. I found this picture on google.. probably taken like 10 years ago.

I could say the trip was fun, but I've definitely had better moments or days ;) I prefer trips with my friends, minus the spending part. Heh.

Mm.. not being able to go certain places.

Friday, Mid Valley.

I tried to contact my brother after we called it a day, but he didn't answer his phone. Hmm.. Well it's normal, cuz his phone's almost always on silent. And he's not the kind of guy who checks his phone every minute (*checks phone*).. or he could have been driving. Either way, I hung around the area looking for something to do.. i.e something to stone and stare at. 5 minutes later, I tried calling him again, but to no avail. This basically went on for at least half an hour. -_-

Finally, when I went to the north court to check for taxis, he called me. I asked if he could fetch me from MV, and like the nice brother he is, he agreed =) So yeah. He said he wouldn't be driving his car, cuz someone else already drove it to work. Usually he'd leave the house like.. right away, so I didn't know if I had enough time to get to the south court where he'd pick me up.. so I sped into a brisk walk.

After waiting for a minute at the bus stop, he called.. and said there were no cars available at home.. the only one there was the one that broke down. On that day particularly. >_> SO.. I had to find my own transport home. I headed towards the taxi stand at the north court again... only to turn around, remembering that there was a taxi stand right where I was. But then I remembered that it'd have to go one whole round before turning into Bangsar, so I turned again -_- When I reached the north court, I saw that the line was longer than the Nile.. So again I headed towards the south court.. when halfway there I remembered the line there wasn't too short either -_-

So.. I went up the escalator and went straight for the KTM.. and realised again I was walking the wrong way @_@

Eventually I got to the station. Waiting for the train, I heard these.. prolly college or uni students talking kinda loud. Then one of them saw me in my um. faded pink(??) shirt and school trousers and pointed it out.. and this not-so-thin girl laughed so everyone could hear it -_- she even said she did it on purpose. Wtf. I walked far away. =.=

I went to KL Central and transferred onto an LRT, heading towards Bangsar.

Stupid. I was too used to taking the LRT from Taman Jaya that I went in the same direction, which was wrong in this case. Ugh. No problem, I just got off and went on the other train at Pasar Seni. >_> I walked home from the Bangsar LRT station. About 20-30 mins. -_- but I'm used to that one, so I'm okay..

Oh yeah. One thing I forgot to mention.. The trains were sardine cans. I was a sardine.

I should've taken a taxi when she did.

I think Odyssey • Aeon was quite a hit =) I mean sure, there were screw ups and a lousy performance or two, but yeah.. it was good, and it could've been worse.

Anyway.

Calyx performed after the lion dance troupe, and they were good. Haha. Sorry, I don't know what more to say besides that. Vid's not uploaded. Then the 24 Season drums were up.. I didn't catch that, sorry to say..

Well.. the last performance for the night was the Sphinx. The PA system made some mistakes. The CD they took the song from was the wrong one, so one of the mixes didn't get in. It was before the indian dance.. we were supposed to dance to twinkle twinkle little star lol. Sigh. And halfway thru someone kicked the cable. The song stopped, obviously.. Well at least they let us go back up and continue.

Hey guys =) I think it's been some time since I last posted an event blog post.. so here's one =P

So.. I went for Cheer 2008 on both days last weekend. From the start to the end, I was there =P Yee Sook was too. And I can tell you, the crowd was insane. Much more so on Sunday, though. SADLY, CHSians were not as enthusiastic.. I mean sure, we did scream and all.. a few of us ran around the stadium holding the placards.. but seriously. Compared to Blitzers and Xavier, we were ants. Fortunately, there were some bacteria there. (I still feel sad for them lol)

Anyway, Calyx didn't make top five or anything, but they did better than last year. Sunday's performance was better than Saturday's too. Did I mention that I lost my voice screaming my lungs out for two almost-whole days? Sigh. I'm so disappointed. I thought they did great. The toss they executed on Sunday was great. Heck, I don't think they made any mistakes on Sunday. I heard something about one of the judges saying that they were good, but not good enough to win.

Now I really regret not joining them earlier. The All-Boys team, I mean. I know everyone thinks it's gay or something, but after watching their winning performance last year, they really aren't. Especially compared to this gay team called Pirates this year lol. You should see this dude, words really can't explain him other than 'gay' and 'ball-lessly flexible'.

All I can do now is to wish Calyx all the best, and give them all the support I can for them to win next year. I can't even give them guidance, I never joined the club even =_=
